Privacy notice
Last updated: 6 November 2026
Parsewave runs parsewave.ai and its subdomains and is responsible for the personal data described here. Questions and requests: ivan@parsewave.ai.
Analytics
Only if you accept. PostHog, our analytics provider, then sets a cookie that recognises your browser across parsewave.ai. It records the pages you view, clicks and scrolling, the site that sent you, your device and your approximate location; PostHog discards your IP address. It also records sessions (mouse movement, scrolling, clicks), but never what you type into forms. We keep events for 25 months and recordings for 30 days. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive, UK PECR reg. 6). Change it any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
Before you choose, if your browser’s time zone is outside the EEA and Switzerland, we count visits without cookies and without storing anything on your device. PostHog tells visits apart with a daily identifier that it deletes each day, and does not store your IP address. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in measuring the site (Art. 6(1)(f); in the UK, PECR Schedule A1 para. 5). Closing the cookie bar (✕) stops this, and so does a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, which we treat as a no everywhere.
Server logs
Our server logs each request (IP address, time, page, browser, referring page) to run and secure the site, which is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). The logs are overwritten automatically. Cloudflare, which delivers the site, handles the same request data for us.
Contact and sample request forms
We use what you send (your name, email address, company, the samples you pick and your message) to reply, and keep them while we are in touch (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)). PostHog only learns that a form was sent, whether the address is a work one and whether you ticked “Link my visits”, never what you wrote. If you tick “Link my visits” and have accepted analytics, we connect your enquiry to your earlier visits so our sample fits what you looked at (your consent); write to us to undo it.
If we contacted you
We contact people who work on AI training data, based on our legitimate interest in business outreach (Art. 6(1)(f)). We may make you a private sample page, unlisted and hidden from search engines, with your name (and sometimes your organisation’s) in its address and title, so if analytics runs there it records your name with what you view. We keep your details only while we are in touch. Ask us where we got them. You can object at any time: we then stop contacting you and delete your page.
Who processes data for us
PostHog Inc. (USA, analytics), Cloudflare, Inc. (USA, delivers the site and runs our DNS), Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany, hosting), Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., USA, contact-form email) and Google (Workspace email), each under a data processing agreement. Vercel Inc. (USA) hosted the site until November 2026. Transfers to the USA are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension, and by the EU standard contractual clauses. We don’t sell or share personal data, and we use no advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or transfer your data, object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to ivan@parsewave.ai; we answer within one month. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in the UK the ICO, in Switzerland the FDPIC). We make no automated decisions about you, and this site is not meant for children.
US residents: we collect identifiers (a random browser ID, IP address), activity on this site, approximate location and what you send us, from you and your browser, for the purposes above. We don’t sell or share personal information or use sensitive personal information, and we honour Global Privacy Control as an opt-out. You can ask to know, delete or correct your data, without discrimination.
